Our Houseboats are equipped to ensure that you enjoy the Broadwater no matter what the weather. Many feature Clears surrounding the upper helming areas for your added protection and convenience.

All vessels are fully fitted with fly screens to keep out those flying nuisances. They also have semi-covered sundecks to allow you to enjoy the great outdoors without getting too burnt. Our luxury vessels feature reverse cycle air-conditioning giving you perfect climate control!

Temperatures in the Broadwater typically range from 18 degrees Celsius mid winter (June – August) to a balmy 32 degrees Celsius in the height of summer (December – March).

Water temps tend to vary less than the ambient temperatures so you can still enjoy a safe swim even in June or July! The average water temp at this time is 18-19 degrees Celsius.

Prevailing winds are South to South Easterlies most of the year. Winds shift to more blustery Westerlies around August and tend more Northerly in the Summer time.

As North and South Stradbroke Islands protect the Broadwater, there is usually always a safe and comfortable anchorage to be found no matter what the wind direction.
